Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales activities to achieve sales, collection, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and develop new customers, projects, and business opportunities in Iraq.
  • Manage the sales cycle from opportunity identification through quotation, negotiation, order, delivery, and collection.
  • Prepare and negotiate technical and commercial quotations within company policies.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.

2. Technical Sales & Customer Support

  • Provide technical advice and recommend suitable mechanical products and solutions.
  • Review customer requirements, specifications, and project needs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to prepare competitive technical and commercial offers.
  • Support customers with technical clarifications and after-sales requirements.

3. Customer & Supplier Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and project/site visits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding products, pricing, availability, lead times, and technical support.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings and negotiations.

4. Sales Target & Collection Management

  • Achieve assigned sales, profitability, and collection targets.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and support timely collection.
  • Ensure sales activities comply with company commercial and credit policies.

5. Market Development & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competition, customer requirements, and pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, suppliers, customers, and market expansion.
  • Provide regular sales, market, and business development reports to management.
  • Recommend opportunities to expand the Mechanical product portfolio.

6. Team Coordination & Future Leadership

  • Coordinate with Accounting, Logistics, Import, Technical, Maintenance, and other relevant departments.
  • Support junior sales team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the Mechanical Department's sales planning and development.
  • Take on increased team and business development responsibilities as the role progresses.

Requirements

 

  • Willingness to travel within Iraq and visit customers and project sites.
  • Ability to work in a field-based sales environment.
  • Flexibility to attend customer, supplier, and business development meetings as required.

Job Experience

  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and negotiate technical and commercial quotations.
  • Good understanding of pricing, margins, credit, and collections.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Leadership potential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Arabic and English proficiency. Kurdish is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical or technical sales.
  • Experience with mechanical products, equipment, systems, or industrial solutions.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
  • Experience in the Iraqi market is an advantage.
  • Previous supervisory or sales management experience is an advantage.
